Werley Ranch Trail starts at the Werley Trailhead in the Camper Services parking lot at the northern end of the park. This is trail 13 in the Mueller Park system. The trail begins at approximately 9,670 feet and leads to the southwest along the parks western border. It descends slowly toward its terminus at Werley Ranch, which lies near 8,880 feet. The ranch used to be a working cattle ranch in the early to mid 1900s. For safety reasons, visitors are asked not to enter the ranch buildings. Several other trails intersect the seven mile course of Werley Ranch Trail. These trails make it possible to extend or shorten your trip through this region of the park.
Directions: From Visitor Center, Travel north on Wapiti Road from the visitor center. Park in the Camper Services parking area and walk through the group campground to the trailhead.
Werley Ranch Trail leads nearly seven miles southwest from the Pisgah Point Campground to the abandoned Werley Ranch site. The trail leads along the western border of the park.
