Trail Description

Start from the parking lot on Forest Highway 6 near the Deerfield River bridge. Hike north 3.3 miles to the top of Stratton Mountain. Climb the fire tower to the top for a splendid view of Taconic Range and Mounts Ascutney, Monadnock and Snow. The trail travels over old logging roads through a mixed forest.

Directions: From Arlington and West Wardsboro, VT, About midway between these two towns along Forest Highway 6 is trailhead parking.

Panoramic views of southern Vermont are offered at the terminus of this mountain trail.
