Description

The trail is narrow, steep, rough and rocky with many sharp turns. Recommended for horses, 4-wheel drives, ATVs and motorbikes.

Directions

Follow California Route 70 north to state route 20. Turn right then left onto Marysville Road. Stay straight to go on Willow Glen Road. Turn right onto La Porte Road. La Porte Road turns into Quincy La Porte Road. To reach the trailhead from La Porte, go to the Tamarack Flat turnoff; then 2.8 miles to the Stag Point turnoff. From here its 2.5 miles to the trailhead. The 4-wheel drive trail extends 2.5 miles.

Highlights

The Stag Point trail ends when it reaches the Middle Fork of the Feather River and the Cleghorn Bar Campground.
