Use the Sherburne Pass Trail with the Appalachian Trail to make a spectacular 12.2-mile loop.
The trip has overnight backpacking possibilities, as two trail shelters are situated along the loop.
US 4 offers two convenient trailheads. You can gain views from the loop by taking the spur trail to the top of Deer Leap Mountain.
