Description

From the intersection of Martin Branch Trail the Sheltowee Trace continues along the ridge on Forest Road 977 crossing under utility lines. At this point Forest Road 977 ends as the trail continues along the ridge to the intersection of Eagle Trail, #114. Near this point private property begins and the trail continues further along the ridge to KY 32. Look for direction signs as the trail descends towards Highway 32 across from the Carl Perkins Community Center.

The Eagle Trail will lead visitors to Eagle Lake (Morehead State University). It is about 1.5 miles to the lake. The trail switchbacks down to a quiet creek bottom before reaching the lake and Morehead State University.
