Click here to edit!This large remote basin is outlined by a horseshoe-shaped rim of densely forested mountains rising to over 5000 feet. Fires Creek drains the basin and the 5240 foot Tusquitee Bald crowns its rugged steep terrain. Most trails connect to the Rim Trail, which follows the ridgeline around the basin. Some Rim Trail sections are for hiking only.
