Walk the first of the famous Blue Blaze trails that course through Connecticut. The Quinnipiac trail was established in 1929 and has gone through many incarnations but is currently a 23-mile path running between the towns of North Haven and Cheshire.
You may want to keep the focus of hiking this trail at Sleeping Giant State Park. The Quinnipiac Trail is the backbone of a network of paths that offers days of hiking.
In contrast to the mountainous sections try the areas that travel along the Qunnipiac River near North Haven.

Description

Twenty-four mile blue-blazed Quinnipiac Trail winds through Quinnipiac River State Park, up steep climbs, and down an exposed slope to Mill River.
