Helpful Hints

By Travel Expert: Johnny Molloy
Rating:
  • Walk the first of the famous Blue Blaze trails that course through Connecticut. The Quinnipiac trail was established in 1929 and has gone through many incarnations but is currently a 23-mile path running between the towns of North Haven and Cheshire.
  • You may want to keep the focus of hiking this trail at Sleeping Giant State Park. The Quinnipiac Trail is the backbone of a network of paths that offers days of hiking.
  • In contrast to the mountainous sections try the areas that travel along the Qunnipiac River near North Haven.
