This trail climbs the east side of Prater Ridge and traverses the top of the ridge. Usually uncrowded; this offers a good chance to view wildlife.

DirectionsThe park entrance is midway between Cortez and Mancos off U.S. 160. This trail can be accessed at the Moorefield Campground. Morefield campground is 4
miles from the entrance.
Rises for 500 feet then flattens out with views of Montezuma Valley and the La Plata Mountains.
