Description

Trail 223 is mostly a ridge top trail through pine hardwood stands with blueberry, huckleberry, Deerberry and Smilax species understory.

Directions

Turn South off the Mountain Parkway at Slade. KY to Highway It. Follow Hwy. It North 0.1 miles to Hwy. 15. Travel East on Hwy. 15 3.2 miles to Tunnel Ridge Road on the left. Follow Tunnel Ridge Road 0.7 miles to the backpacker's parking lot 039A on the left.
