Click here to edit!Palos/ Sag Valley Trail System offers an exciting mix of paved and unpaved trails and amazing scenery that seems out of place in the Chicago metropolitan area, offering something for both the active outdoor enthusiast and the naturalist observer alike. Bikers and hikers can experience intense paths passing along geologically fascinating and poetically awe inspiring ravines. The 800-acre preserve offers a menagerie of oak savannas, hard wood forests, prairie and wetlands that are home to blue-winged warbler, scarlet tanager, wood thrush, red-bellied woodpecker, coyote, red fox, muskrat, tiger salamander and chorus frog to name a few of the note worthy wildlife.
