From the trailhead the trail goes west along south slope of Millican Crater and then north to Lava Camp Lake. The Trout Creek Tie Trail #4067 provides access to the Scott Pass Trail #4068.

Note: The trail enters the Three Sisters Wilderness Area shortly after leaving the trailhead. Wilderness Permits are required for both day-use and overnight travel in the Wilderness from Memorial Day Weekend until Oct. 31. Permits are available at the trailhead.
