Description

The trail leaves D-Boone Hut Trail and snakes its way down to the creek. Following natural contours and passing thru hardwood timber.

Directions

Turn South off the Mountain Parkway at Slade. KY to Hwy. 11. Follow Hwy. 11 North 0.1 miles to Hwy. 15. Travel East on Hwy. 15 3.2 miles Tunnel Ridge Road on the left. Follow Tunnel Ridge Road 0.9 silos to Gray's Arch Picnic Area on the right. Walk 0.5 silos down D-Boone Hut Trail #1770.

Highlights

Present are moist heath rhododendron understory and rich flora and Hay-scented Ferns, Showy Orchids and American Ginseng.
