Helpful Hints

By Travel Expert: Johnny Molloy
Rating:
  • Explore this 24-mile trail network in the northern end of the Mark Twain national Forest near Rolla. Mill Creek Picnic Area makes for a good jumping off point.
  • A series of interconnected paths, primarily used by equestrians, is centered around Kaintuck Hollow, a ridgeline to the west and then down to Mill Creek Hollow.
  • Be apprised the trails can be somewhat confusing. You may want to travel during a busy weekend at first, just to be able to ask directions!
