Description

This trail system recieves heavy use from horses as the private High Knob Ranch is immediately next to the trail system.

The picnic area and the trails leading form it and around the bottom of the bluffs is designated for hikers only. Equestrians may unload at High Knob Ranch located along the entrance road to the picnic area. Riders may access the surrounding trail system from there.

Directions

Access 1:
Take State route #34 south from Harrisburg for 15 miles to the Karbers Ridge blacktop road go east on the blacktop. Proceed five miles to the small town of Karbers Ridge and turn left (north) onto county gravel road #2.

Highlights

Several small interconnecting loops provides a variety of hiking environments. Forty foot cliffs, deciduous forest, and springs and creeks abound in this area.
