Description

The Eagle Cliff Trails are a self-guiding, loop trail system, signed at intersections with blazed trees marking the trail route. While Eagle Cliff Trails have long been recognized as a cross-country ski trail system, the area is also popular during the spring, summer, and fall for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.

Much of the trail system winds through stands of Ponderosa Pine, up shaded draws lined with Black Hills Spruce, and across meadows filled with native wildflowers.

The following links to a table that rates the trails for cross-country skiing. Trail difficulty is usually one rating class less difficult for hikers, bikers and other users. Table.

Directions

Trailheads are approximately 7.4 and 8.4 miles west of Cheyenne Crossing on U. S. 85.
