Description

This trail leaves the parking area and descends below a high cliff of sandstone conglomerate, through various species of hardwood, large leafed magnolias, beautiful orchids, trilliums, and finally up to a breathtaking overlook underneath Double Arch at the end of the ridge. From here, the hiker can see Courthouse Rock, Haystack Rock, and other broad views within the Red River Gorge.

Directions

Turn South off the mountain Parkway at Slade. KY to Highway 11. Follow Hwy. It North 0.1 mile to Hwy. 15. Travel East on Hwy. 15 3.2 miles to Tunnel Ridge Road on the left. Follow Tunnel Ridge Road 4.8 miles to it's terminus.
