Click here to edit!A hike through varied terrain around and up Dorr Mountain. Relatively easy, but the trails are rough and rocky. Several trails on this loop contain outstanding examples of stonework, an enduring tribute to the early trail builders of Mount Desert Island.
DirectionsEnter Acadia National Park at the Sieur de Monts entrance. Thetrailhead for the Gorge Trail is about 1 mile from the beginning of the one-way section of the Park Loop Road. Look for a small gravel parking area on the right, just past Kebo Brook.
HighlightsThis trail features numerous brooks, waterfalls which are especially noticeable after a heavy rain, and some of the best stonework of the early trail builders.
