Trail Description

Deer Meadow Trail starts at the intersection with Brown's Run Trail behind the group tent site area known as Deer Meadow. The trail is 1 mile long and passes by several active gas wells. It intersects with Heffern Run Trail which will take you up into the group area. This trail is also used as a snowmobile route during the winter months.

Directions: From Clarion, PA, Take US 322 west about 2.5 miles to SR 66 North. Take SR 66 approximately 12 miles to SR 36. Turn right (east) on SR 36 and travel about 4 miles to the state park. After entering the park, stay on the main park road to the second intersection. You will see the park office to the right, but you will want to bear left and continue straight until you travel past the Visitor Center and the Sawmill Craft and Theater Center. You will then see areas for group camping on the left and on the right hand sides of the road. Park in the group site on the left side of the road and begin on Heffern Run Trail. It will intersect with Deer Meadow Trail.
