Description

This is a long hike through the eastern portion of the Wilderness and is quite steep in places. The trail eventually passes by the many springs that feed the creek and joins up with the Gods Pocket Peak trail (099) and the Marys River Basin Trail (195).

Directions

From U.S. Highway 93, go west on the dirt grade between mile markers111 and 112, approximately 29 miles south of Jackpot, NV, and 38 miles north of Wells, NV. Take the dirt grade for 22 miles to the O'Neil Basin road. Turn right (north) onto the O'Neil Basin road. Proceed past the Gilmer Ranch and take the first road to the west. Follow this road for approximately 8 miles. The road is a short, steep haul into the Camp Creek drainage. Park your vehicle and follow the road to the start of the trail (about 1 mile).

The Camp Creek Trail follows the creek as it winds through beautiful, lush riverine vegatation and a terrific canyon with geologic wonders. he trail crosses Camp Creek many, many times and is hip-deep during spring run-off.
