Description

This trail links Trail #220 with Trail #223. The trail leads down across the left fork of Chimney Top Creek Gorge- passing through tall evergreen white pines, descending out on the ridgetops with open hardwood timber overstory and a rich local flora of Partridge Berries, Climbing Fern, and Hearts -Bustin-With- Love.

Directions

Turn South off the Mountain Parkway at Slade. KY to Highway 11. Follow Hwy. It North 0.1 miles to Hwy. 15. Travel East on Hwy. 15 4.9 miles to Koomer Ridge Campground on the left. Take left fork In campground and park in the backpackers parking lot #6348 on left. Follow the Koomer Ridge Trail #220 1.1 miles to Buck Trail #246 on the left.
