This easy 0.3-mile loop trail, blazed in red, was created in the 1930s. It is marked with 17 interpretive signs informing the visitor about their evergreen surroundings of rhododendron, hemlock and white pine. Elevation of this trail is approximately 1,450 feet.
Directions: From Clifton Forge, VA, From Clifton Forge, Virginia head east on I-64 to Exit 27. Turn North onto Rt. 629 and travel three miles to the park entrance sign and four more miles to the park office. Stay on the main park road to the lakeside concession area. Buck Lick Trail begins in the parking area.
