Description

This trail takes you through a mature redwood forest where the Chinese maintained gold mines in the late 1800s. At fork 3 miles in, you can take right fork leads to the Boy Scout Tree and left fork to Fern Falls.

Directions

From Crescent City take 101 South and make a left onto Elk Valley Road. Make a right onto Howland Hill Rd. until you reach the signed trailhead for Boy Scout Tree Trail.
