Trail Description

Big Coon Trail is an old logging trail that is only .5 mile long. It connects the Big Coon Picnic Area to Clear Creek Trail. It goes north and south and when going south, you have to climb a moderate grade. White spruce abound in this area.

Directions: From Brookville, PA, Take SR 36 north about 8 miles and turn right (east) onto SR 949. Take it north about 5 miles to the state park. Travel the main park road about .75 mile making a left into a picnic area. Trail begins from the back of the loop.

Big Coon Trail is a connector trail between the Big Coon Picnic Area and Clear Creek Trail.
