Description

A Short footpath on the west side of State Hwy.15, across from the parking area takes you to a scenic vista overlooking Bear Creek Canyon. This vista is named after the famous mountain lion and bear hunter, Ben Lilly. At the end of the foot trail, is a plaque commemorating the many hunting exploits of Ben Lilly.

Directions

Follow State Hwy. 15 for 9 miles North of Silver City. As you travel North you will pass through the historic settlement of Pinos Altos. Aprox. 3 Miles beyond Pinos Altos is the Ben Lilly Memorial. A parking area is located on the east side of state Hwy. 15. The parking area can accommodate up to 12 passenger vehicles. Large motorhomes and travel trailers are not reccommended.

Highlights

An easy,900 ft. long, footpath leads to a beautiful vista and overlook into Bear Creek Canyon.
