From the parking lot, head west on the access trail a very short distance to reach Beaver Run Trail. Bear left (south) on Beaver Run and hike in a southern -- then a western direction to reach Beech Ridge Trail. Several unenforced creek crossings are necessary before emerging onto higher ground and reaching Beech Ridge Trail. Beech Ridge is a short 0.75-mile circular trail that explores forest succession while bypassing a natural drainage basin. Retrace footsteps back over Beaver Run Trail (2.5 miles) to reach the parking lot.
Appropriate apparel, water-resistant footwear, and insect repellent is advised.
Directions: From Garrettsville, OH, Go east on State Route 82 for two blocks to the flashing light. Turn left (north) at the light onto Center Road. Travel Center Road for 2.3 miles to Hopkins Road and turn right (south). The visitor parking is on Hopkins Road.
Beech Ridge Trail is located at the end of Beaver Run Trail, a 2.5 mile hike that carries the trailblazer across Eagle Creek.
