Trail Description

Begin the trail from the parking lot found along County Road 26, just south f Douglas Applegate Road. Aptly named, you'll see sighting-after-sighting of beaver activity along the trail. What was once an area of free flowing clear water has now become sluggish ponds and wetlands. This trail may be combined with Deer Run Trail and Douglass Applegate Road offering the visitor an enjoyable half-day hike. Scenic vistas and wildlife sightings are offered on several occasions.

Directions: From Wintersville, OH, Take US. 22 from the western edge of Wintersville. Head south onto County Road 34. Drive 3.5 miles taking you into Cross Creek Valley. Turn right onto County Road 26 and travel about 1 mile to parking lot on right.

Beaver Dam Trail does flood during seasons of high rainfall.
