Trail Description

The Bald River Trail is an easy 5.6 mile trail. This trail begins at Bald River Falls and follow Bald River to Bald River Road. Trailhead parking is available. This trail leads into the Bald River Gorge Wilderness Area.

Directions: From Tellico Plains, Travel east on State Hwy. 165 for approximately 9 miles and turn left onto FDR 345. Proceed for 1.5 miles and turn right onto FDR 35-1 and continue for 1 mile. Turn left onto Double Camp Road and the trailhead will be approximately 3 miles down the road on the left.

Description

Begins at Bald River Falls (FDR #210) and follows Bald River to Bald River Road (FDR #126). Trailhead parking is available. Some dispersed camping is also available along the trail.

Directions

Start out going Northeast on US-411. Turn RIGHT onto TN-310. TN-310 becomes TN-39. Turn RIGHT onto TN-68. Turn LEFT onto TN-165.
