A moderate hike following the ridgetop through Cedar groves and boulder outcroppings, the trail is currently in good condition. It allows trail access to Eldorado Creek from Austin Ridge lookout, which is for rent to the general public (contact Pierce Ranger District at Kamiah for rental information). Although Road #523 parallels the trail for about 2 miles, much of th etrail is intact on the ridgetop.
