This is a 70,000-acre wildlife refuge home to alligators, deer, bobcats, and more than 392 species of birds including the whooping crane which winters here.
Seven walking trails and a 16-mile driving tour loop are offered at the refuge.
Observation towers and boardwalks are present on most of the trails to allow for better wildlife viewing.
