Description

The trail starts next to FS road #653. This road is a single track, dirt road. The road has sharp curves and some steep grades. It is used heavily by recreationists and commercial vehicles. It is passable by most types of vehicles. The trailhead is located 10.5 miles from Ola.

Directions

From the intersection of State Highway 52 and the Sweet/Ola road, travel north to Ola. The pavement ends, and becomes FS road #618. Follow 618 to the junction of FS road 626 (Sagehen Reservoir). Follow road 626 to the intersection with road #609.

Highlights

Trail passes through conifer forests, high meadows and open areas. There are panoramic views of West Mountain and the Squaw Creek drainage. Flora and fauna are abundant in the area. Wild flowers can be seen throughout most of the year.
