Trail Description

The half-mile, self-guided Ancient Shoreline Trail begins near the park service area at Norway Road. There are fourteen information stations and an accompanying three-fold brochure detailing facts about the park's postglacial lake shoreline. Pets are not permitted on the easy trail. Interpretive brochures are available at the information station.

This particular trail is recommended for snowshoeing. Other winter opportunities include downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and sledding.

Directions: From Sturgeon Bay, WI, At Hwys. 42 and 57, head north on Park Drive for 2.4 miles to the park entrance. Ancient Shoreline Trail is accessible from the campground area.
