Click here to edit!There is adequate parking at the Alexander Mountain trailhead for several vehicles on either side of the road. No restrooms or stock facilities are available. This trail offers a scenic overlook of Lake Koocanusa after .5 miles on the trail and is suitable for a short hike to the overlook or for a more rugged day hike. Developed camping and fishing are available at McGillivray Campground, 3 miles north of the trailhead.
DirectionsFrom Libby, travel approximately 12 miles northeast on Highway 37. Turn left onto the Forest Development Road (FDR) and travel for approximately 5 miles to the trailhead.
