From Jackson Peak to Beach Meadow, this trail has several steep sections that make is best suited for the intermediate rider. The trail begins off Forest Road 21S36A and travels northeast for about three miles to Albanita Meadow. This trail travels through the South Sierra Wilderness (where all vehicles are prohibited), has little elevation change, and provides very little water. For a longer day hike, this trail ties in with either the Hooker Meadow Trail at the southwest end of Albanita Meadow to the Lost Meadow Trail 35E04 at the southeast end of the meadow. This trail offers some very technical downhills and uphill climbs for mountain bikers. There are scenic vistas through meadows and aspen groves.
Directions: From Kernville, Travel north about 16 miles on Mtn. 99 and turn right (east) onto Sherman Pass Rd. (22S05) and travel about 24 miles to FS 21S03 continuing north about 3 miles to FS 21S36, trail begins at Jackass Peak.
